With Amanda, Angel, Ashley, Cari, Corrie and Olivia (Jr. Spirit 2006), Linda began with a beautiful opening for the Martinete Mission Dance.

Linda and Talia, our new Jr. Spirit, began the choreography for Talia’s Mission Dance. Linda began with Talia’s opening and shawl work.

Today we got our first look at the Colombianas & Como Retumba Groups.

With the backs of their hands on their hips and nice flamenco faces (those eyebrows and a smile) Linda was teaching Como Retumba how to move their shoulders up and down.

With around 16 groups, so far, beginning to form – today we filmed Cristina teaching and Linda developing the choreography for the Alegrias, Tangos Flamencos, Fandangos de Huelva and Cantiñas Group dances, while Linda was designing and discussing costume colors in the office with Anna.

Today we caught up with Talia, our new Jr. Spirit, working with Linda on the footwork for her new party dance.

Linda had just installed a new raised wooden floor for demonstrating footwork and choreography while teaching, making it louder and thus easier on her knees.

After Talia’s private, we drove with Linda and Terry to Linda’s orthopedic surgeon for the first in a series of injections we hope will help her ailing knee. She’s hoping to avoid surgery, at least until after Fiesta.
