After Fiesta Interview with Michaela

We spent this morning with Michaela, at home, as she was getting ready to move back to LA for her second term at USC. She’s been studying architecture, business and environmental solutions.

She’s been dancing with the Linda Vega Dance Studio ever since she was 4 years old – now she’s 18.

We talked about her passion for dance and finding a way to incorporate that same kind of happiness and fulfillment in a new career, family and life style.

End of Fiesta 2009!

After 14 location shoots over the past 6 days, this year’s Fiesta Santa Barbara came to an end on Sunday at the Studio Wrap Party.

We’re all now looking forward to the 2010 Spirit Auditions…

Friday, August 7th – El Desfile Histórico

We started filming and photographing the riders on horseback an hour before they began proceeding along the beach to State Street. This is one of the largest equestrian parades in the US.

Amanda and Talia each rode on separate floats.

Talia’s Day – The First Day of Fiesta

After waking Talia up at 6:15am, we joined the Vestal’s for breakfast. Then our Jr. Spirit got all dressed up and we headed down to the K-LITE studios at Rincon Broadcasting to meet Spirit of Fiesta, Daniela Zermeno.

Watch a clip of Talia and Daniela being interviewed, first at Radio Bronco, then at K-LITE with Catherine and Gary.

From the radio station to De La Guerra Plaza to Linda’s Studio to the Woman’s Club and then back to Talia’s house for hair and makeup and her new white dress to open Fiesta Pequeña at the Santa Barbara Mission, we finished filming Linda’s live performance at El Paseo Restaurant at midnight – whew what a day!
